The Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for the overall maintenance and repairs to the Club grounds to include the picnic shelter, parking lot, roads, pathways, and other structures, excluding the fenced Dry Storage area and the Activities Center. A primary duty is the grass mowing and trimming of the Club grounds, either by contractor or other means, and ensuring this is done on a regular and economic basis each year. Tree trimming and the repair, replacement, or improvements to existing or new structures or projects are the responsibility of this committee as approved by the Board. The use of work parties for the club membership is encouraged, and should be coordinated with other committee activities and the club social and racing calendars as necessary to ensure the most efficient use of volunteer workers and avoid conflicts with other activities. This committee is expected to enforce all rules and regulations for the safe operation of all on-shore facilities as approved by the Board.
